How Do I Decide?
The Power of Starting Over
Having to start over is often viewed as a defeat. Yet, when under the eye of mindfulness, it is a profound practice all in itself. This is just as true "in life" as returning to your breath on the cushion. When you cultivate the practice of just "starting over", you are reconnecting to the "wise" or "right intention" of the Eightfold Path.
Using The Hindrances As Allies (Stream or Download)
The Hindrances are mental states that obstruct our ability to practice. In various distinct ways, they disrupt concentration and distort awareness so that when they occur we are unable to see things as they are. These states bring challenges yet as our practice deepens and matures, they in fact become allies on the path.

AudioDharma.org Vipassana Talks
This site is an archive of Dharma talks at the Insight Meditation Center beginning in the year 2000. Each talk illuminates aspects of the Buddha's teachings. The purpose is the same that the Buddha had for his teachings, to guide us toward the end of suffering and the attainment of freedom.
The Dharma Talks presented here were all recorded live during meditation retreats over the past several years by various teachers at Insight Meditation Society, Spirit Rock Meditation Center or other retreat centers. The talks generally range from 30 to 60 minutes in length and all incorporate important aspects of the Buddha's teachings, illuminated by the teacher's understanding and experience.
